Hello there!
I’m Erick, 32, from Rio.
I’ve been teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners for over 10 years, working with students from complete beginners to advanced learners.
I speak English fluently, German at an advanced level and I am familiar with the main Romance languages. That experience helps me anticipate the difficulties learners face and explain Portuguese clearly.
I’m passionate about languages, literature and Brazilian culture. I bring them into lessons whenever they are relevant to the student’s goals — never as decoration, always as a way to understand the language more deeply.

Absolutely. Complete beginners are welcome. We start with clear explanations, essential vocabulary and pronunciation so you can communicate from the beginning without feeling lost.
Will the lessons be mostly conversation?+
They can be, but conversation is never disconnected from accuracy. We combine speaking with the grammar, vocabulary, listening and pronunciation work your level actually requires.
Do you teach advanced students?+
Yes. Advanced work may focus on fluency, idiomaticity, register, writing, literature, culture or the precise grammatical points that still separate good Portuguese from natural Portuguese.
Can you help me prepare for CELPE-BRAS?+
Yes. CELPE-BRAS preparation includes integrated listening, reading and writing tasks, oral interview practice, exam strategy and detailed feedback tailored to your exam date.
Do you provide materials and homework?+
